TP Sherwood Product Review

Thank you to John Langford for supplying this review.

TP Sherwood Tower and Swing set
The TP range is excellent, the quality of the materials is excellent and the construction is first class.

It took me a long time to decide which outdoor play system I wanted as there are so many available. Prices also vary considerably across makes and styles. One of my main criteria was a modular system I could keep adding too as my children grew.

The TP range allows you to add/change swing types e.g. baby seat, child/adult flat seat, wraparound seat and swingboat (note some of these require different brackets to attach to the swing arm). The range also offers different types of slides to attach to the tower; the swings and slides are available in a choice of green or blue.

I saw the Sherwood range at a TP retailer and was very impressed with the quality and the natural look and feel of the wood construction. The wood comes with a 10-year warranty and the metal parts have a lifetime guarantee. The wood is a rustic pressure treated pine from managed forests in the UK. The metal is galvanised steel.

When the set arrived I was surprised to see just how well thought out it was. Each section of the construction is clearly bundled together and numbered and the instruction manual to put it together is very clear and concise. The majority of the set is pre-drilled and only a few additional holes require drilling.

The legs of the swing and tower can be staked into the ground using galvanised steel pegs that are supplied with the set. It is a full days work to construct the tower and swing set if on your own.

I have had the set for 2 years now and it is used very regularly (by me as well), it is as strong as the day I put it together and I have never had to tighten a single bolt on it!

Be aware this is a big item so make sure you have enough room in your garden before buying it!
