Babies are highly temperature sensitive, they don't like to be too hot or too cold and want to maintain an even temperature. The majority of standard baby mattresses on the market are made from synthetic materials and covered in plastic fabrics that increase the baby's temperature and cause uncomfortable sweating. Natural Mat solves this problem by only using the finest organic and natural fibres. These fibres are self-ventilating and breathable, encouraging lots of air to circulate and allowing any moisture in the mattress to disperse. This ensures that the baby is kept at an even temperature and therefore is able to sleep through the night.

All Natural Mat mattresses are handmade in their factory at Odham's Wharf in Devon. The range includes mattresses for cribs, cots, cot beds and single beds, including made to measure mattresses of any size and shape! They are made from natural latex foam, coir (husk of a coconut) from the only organic coir plantation in the world, mohair, horsetail hair and lambswool.

Natural Mat mattresses are the best baby mattresses on the market, not only do they provide excellent breathability but they are non-allergenic (dust mites can not live in natural latex or organic coir and our unique lambswool is treated with a natural insecticide derived from lavender, Lemon and Eucalyptus, which renders it anti dust-mite), they are naturally fire retardant (only UK manufacturer to pass British Safety Standards without using any chemical fire retardants) and provide long lasting support.
