The Magic Roundabout Returns for

a Brand New Series

World premiere exclusive on Nick Jr from Monday 22 October 2007

The nation is going to be spellbound by the brand new CGI children's animated television series of The Magic Roundabout. The magic of the much loved 1960s cult TV hit is set to spin back into action with a brand new enchanting series, premiering exclusively on Nickelodeon's popular preschool channel, Nick Jr. So it's time to jump on board for a magical ride with this all time children's favourite from Monday 22 October 2007 at 8am.

Produced in the UK and France, this charming original series has been lovingly updated for today's toddlers and their parents to enjoy. Still portraying the spirit, imagination and values of the original, The Magic Roundabout will sparkle with its new beautifully animated storylines and loveable characters that are guaranteed to captivate audiences both young and old.

Many years ago, The Magic Roundabout was brought to a small rural village by a strange old man, Mr Rusty, and it has remained there ever since spinning its charm and magic on the happy village folk who live there. With it came a playful, naughty, springy magician called Zebedee who plays impish tricks on the villagers and then watches with a mischievous glint as they untangle the problems he creates.

The locals in the village are a hotch-potch of curious characters with very different views on the world, yet they live together in happy harmony. There's Florence, a kind and thoughtful little girl; Dougal the grumpy dog; Ermintrude the sweet opera-singing cow; Dylan the sleepy rabbit; and Brian, a rather stuffy snail.

Appealing to the imaginations of both young and old audiences, The Magic Roundabout joins together various generations and is set to be a big a hit as it was the first time. Parents will be in awe of the CGI wizardry of the new series and the quirky characters are bound to cast a magical spell over preschool children keeping them entertained throughout.

So make sure you're round and about to join in the fun with this brand new series premiering on Monday 22 October at 8am only on Nick Jr (Sky, Virgin Media and Freeview) and online via the Nick Jr Video broadband video player at nickjr.co.uk. Episodes will continue daily at 8am on Nick Jr and at 4pm on Nick Jr 2.
