Kiss for Bliss

Bliss

Raise money for Bliss with virtual e-kisses for Valentine’s day

Some newborn babies need a little extra special care. BLISS is dedicated to ensuring that more babies survive, have the best possible quality of life and that their parents and families get the support they need.

A kiss is a unique expression of affection and love, and something that every new parent wants to give their child. But for 1 in 8 new parents, their baby may be too sick or too small to receive that much-wanted first kiss. This is why BLISS is launching Kiss for BLISS week for Valentine’s 2008.

Instead of sending a conventional Valentine’s card, BLISS are encouraging parents to send a special animated, virtual Kiss. The specially-designed ‘e-kisses’ are being hosted by nocardsthanks, who are also featuring BLISS as their charity of the month in February. The sender can pay by credit or debit card (cards cost £2.99) and the recipient is informed upon receipt that a donation has been made to BLISS on their behalf. The cards are quick, easy, green and will help BLISS continue to ensure that premature and sick babies in the UK get the best possible start to life.

The cards are part of Kiss for BLISS week, and this is the first year it is being run. If you would like to run a kiss-themed fundraising event the packs are available from the lip-shaped link on their homepage bliss.
