The Baby Show with Prima Baby is back at ExCeL

The 2009 Baby Show

27 Feb – 1 March 2009

The Baby Show returns to ExCeL this month. The Baby Show’s hassle-free shopping experience will offer credit-crunching bargains for London parents. The ‘one-stop-shop’ for all parenting needs offers savings, entertainment and expert advice for parents-to-be and new parents.
The Baby Show takes the stress out of pre/post birth shopping, giving parents, relatives and friends the chance to purchase products at unbeatable prices and have a fun day out together.

Shop & Save
Little bundles can cost big, but a trip to The Baby Show can help avoid blowing the budget on those baby must-haves. Using the Show website, visitors can research exhibiting companies and the products and services provided and make sure they have everything covered on the check-list before heading to the Show. Planned well, this can be an easy and comfortable way to get all the shopping for baby done in a day – saving countless trips to the high street.
Retailers will be offering exceptional value on an amazing choice of baby essentials, with exclusive Show offers often lower than internet prices. Many purchases for a new baby take careful consideration to make sure they see you through the child’s early years. At the Show parents are able to test and compare all the leading brands from buggies to toys to nappies ensuring they make informed decisions and avoid any costly mistakes.
Visitors can try and buy from a wide variety of large retailers such as Mothercare, Glasgow Pram Centre and Baby Planet, as well as meet experts direct from leading brands like Philips Avent, Johnson’s Baby, Stokke and Maclaren.

Expert Advice
The Comfort Pure Stage with Prima Baby
Expert talks and presentations include essential Baby and Toddler First Aid from St John Ambulance and sleep routines from Jo Tantum.
Also appearing is Annabel Karmel MBE, the UK’s leading authority on baby and children’s food and nutrition, and best-selling author. Being a mother of three, she is hugely influential in her imaginative approach to creating healthy food that also tastes good. There is also the opportunity to meet Annabel, sample her delicious children’s ready meals Eat Fussy, and to ask questions at her stand.
Annabel will be joined on stage by Dr Adam Fox, MA(Hons), MSc, MB, BS, DCH, FRCPCH, Dip Allergy, FHEA Paediatric Allergist and consultant at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals in London. Food is the most common cause of allergies in children and Dr Adam Fox will be offering advice on what to look out for and how to minimise symptoms.
Recognized early learning expert, Dr. Robert Titzer, Ph.D. will also be appearing. For more than a decade, Dr. Titzer has been showing parents that it is easy to teach infants and toddlers to read. Dr. Titzer will be spreading the word about how to teach little ones early maths concepts and logical thinking and how learning reading and maths skills early in life can have a dramatic impact a child’ future.
Tommy's Meet the Midwives and Health Visitors Centre – Tommy's midwives and health visitors will be on hand to answer any niggling questions about any aspect of pregnancy or parenthood. NHS Choices will also be at The Baby Show for the first time introducing their interactive pregnancy care planner.

Entertainment
There is entertainment for the whole family including funky fashion shows on the Comfort Pure Stage with Prima Baby each day and fun for the toddlers in play zones provided by Persil Non-Bio. Have a free photograph of your little one taken by a professional photographer and take part in Prima Baby’s search for the Face of The Baby Show 2010. Your baby could win a year’s modelling contract! New and expectant mums can learn and try the hugely popular baby massage in the Fairy World of Softness.

Refreshments For those with bumps on board or babies in tow, The BabyCentre Cravings Café offers the chance for visitors to indulge their cravings for fresh food and drink. There are lots of seating areas to relax in at the show and refreshing vitamin boosters can be found at the Pregnacare Juice Bar!

The ultimate baby shopping experience at The Baby Show is designed to be completely hassle-free. There are wide aisles to navigate buggies and larger bumps through; a free crèche to ensure your little one is entertained while you shop; free Shopping Drop-Off and Collect by Car facilities provided by Emma’s Diary; the Pampers Baby Changing Room offers purpose built baby changing facilities and free nappies and wipes; and the Tommee Tippee Feeding Area provides free baby food, a private breastfeeding area and full bottle warming facilities.
