Children need Fats in their diet
New research published in the Nutrition Journal says children require fat as part of a healthy diet.
Fat has an important role in how children grow. In tests the US Team from Pennsylvania University found that children burned considerably more fat relative to the amount of energy they used.
Fats in food are a natural part of our diet and should not be avoided for young children. Foods with excess sugar should be avoided.
