How to Parent : Move Your Baby to a Cup
This How to Parent video examines whether there is a right age to start moving your baby from drinking from a bottle to drinking from a cup.
One of the big problems with leaving your baby using a bottle for too long is the possibility of the bottle being a factor in tooth decay. This video looks at when your baby is likely to be a good age to switch over from a bottle so that their new teeth are protected.
Babies can become very attached to their bottles. So when this first happens you may well find your baby is resistant to the change and would much prefer to stick with drinking from the bottle. During this How to Parent video there are some useful tips and suggestions as to how you can solve this problem and get your baby to happily drink from a cup.
There is likely to be a transition period so you may need to be a little patient as your baby switches over from the bottle. You may also find the transition harder at certain times of the day as your child also gains comfort from the bottle at times when they start to tire.
