How to Parent : Ideas for Adding Excitement to Your Children's Lives
This How to Parent video shows you that you can add some adventure into your children's life even if you don't have the time or money!
As parents we all want our children to experience the adventures we had as children but fear for safety often holds us back.
Research carried out by the family plaster brand Elastoplast reveals that 85% of children are longing for more adventure.
You don't even need to go far. Kids can build a den or you could camp out in your garden as a family overnight. All kids love climbing trees and so head to your nearest wood or forest or travel to the coast and explore the fascinating rock pools and all the amazing creatures that live there - all you need are a net and a bucket.
By getting outside children will begin to understand the environment around them.
To support parents and inspire children, Elastoplast is launching a new campaign, Adventure 4 Kids!, with adventurer and TV wildlife presenter, Nick Baker. "Experiencing outdoor adventures cannot be underestimated. As a kid, I remember the excitement of getting outdoors and having my own mini adventures! From building my first tree house to staying up late to watch the stars -- it's these experiences that stay with you for life. Allowing children to experience risk in a controlled environment helps to develop their ability to face risks in the future and builds their confidence."
