Mobile Home Holidays - France
This article details my experience of a Eurocamp Mobile home holiday in the South of France.
Holidays are those special times when we spend quality time together as a family. These times are precious, work restricts the time we can spend on holiday and our children will not always wish to holiday with us.
Before the children start school always try to holiday during school term times, this will save a fortune in holiday costs.
On Parenting.co.uk we aim to give you help and advice on great family holidays. We will have offers for holidays abroad as well as holidays in the UK. You do not need to spend a fortune to have a wonderful family holiday. Sometimes children are happier camping in the UK than sweltering on a beach in Spain. If the children are happy then so are the parents.
Many holiday companies, both home and abroad, are aimed at the younger family providing great facilities and support to help you have a better holiday. These can include -
- Crèche facilities
- Organised games and events for the children
- Babysitting service
- Sports training
- Children meals
- Soft play areas
- Bike hire
Other points to consider when travelling abroad-
- Flying from local airports can sometimes be more costly but may save many hours on your travel time.
- Are you and your children vaccinated to travel to your destination country? See Health section for more information.
- Will your child have appropriate seating in your hire car? These are normally hired separately.
- Consider your luggage allowances - normally 20Kg per passenger, children do not receive this allowance if you have not paid a full flight fare for them (under 2).
- Will you and your children be suffering jet lag when you arrive or return?
Don't put yourself under too much pressure when booking a holiday; multi-destination stops are fun as a couple but extremely tiring as a young family.
Always remember to keep the children smothered in sunscreen!
