First Aid For Parents
Research has shown that one of parents’ biggest concerns is their inability, through lack of knowledge and basic training, to do anything helpful if their child has an accident.
It is precisely in response to this concern that First Aid for Parents has been set up to run parent (and grandparent) centred one day courses to arm them with the basic information to do something useful and possibly save the life of a precious child.
These one day courses are being run at the Holiday Inn at Nursling (J1 of M271), Southampton. There is ample parking and a steaming hot cup of coffee and a Danish pastry awaiting your arrival. This is followed by a well structured HSE approved syllabus covering:
- Meningitis
- Choking
- Poisoning
- Scalds and burns
- Unconscious casualty
- Bites and stings
- Hyper and hypothermia
- Febrile convulsions
- Sprains and breakages
- Cuts and bruises
The course is designed to be fun and the founders of First Aid for Parents are out to re-brand First Aid as the new cool, challenging the stereotypical view of First Aid and trashing its spoddy image. Lunch is included and hey you might learn something useful and save a life!
The course fee is £99 which is a fully inclusive price including breakfast, lunch, refreshments, all resources and a certificate at the end.
