Please briefly describe the nature of the attraction (zoo, farm etc)
The attraction is a farm offering visitors the chance to get close to many different animals.
How "buggy friendly" is the attraction?
Very.
Is the attraction mainly outdoor or indoor? If outdoor, what indoor activities (if any) are available during bad weather?
The attraction has a good mixture of both. There are plenty of things to do outside but there are also plenty of indoor activities when the weather is wet. Note that the majority of the indoor activities are in barns so wrap up warm if you go in the winter.
Can the attraction be enjoyed by all ages of children? If not, why not and what age is it best suited for?
Yes - there is something for all ages.
Can food be purchased at this attraction?
Yes - A cafe serving sandwiches, snacks and drinks.
Did the attraction cater for differing tastes i.e. Vegetarian, healthy food option?
Yes. Only sandwiches and snacks.
Are there facilities for people wishing to bring a picnic to the attraction?
Yes. There are many areas around the farm for taking a picnic, in fact, I would personally recommend this.
Did you find the toilet facilities clean?
Yes.
Do you feel it is possible to see the whole attraction in one day?
Yes. I would suggest you could see the attraction in 3 to 4 hours.
Are there other attractions or activities to pay for in addition to the entrance fee (other than food and drinks)?
No. You do however exit via the gift shop where there are plenty of temptations for the children.
What was the highlight of the day?
Feeding of the calves. There are feeding times throughout the day when you will be given the opportunity to bottle feed the calves, goats and goat kids.
From your experience, what advice would you offer to other visitors of the attraction?
Take a picnic and get there early. The feeding of the animals starts at 10:30am and runs almost every half an hour until 4:00pm.
What areas would you suggest visitors make sure they experience, and why?
There are plenty of activities for the children apart from the animals. There is a soft play area for the younger children, tractor rides (1:00 pm and weather permitting), climbing frames, swings and go-karts. I recommend feeding the animals and the small animal handling is also good fun.
What improvements could be made to make the attraction better, if any?
Nothing.
Overall what are your feelings about the attraction?
There is plenty to do and the children really enjoy seeing and feeding the animals.
Please rate this attraction out of 5 stars. (1 is poor and 5 is excellent). Please consider if you are rating a Zoo/Farm type attraction, take into account the apparent care of the animals as this would and should be a primary concern for the running of the attraction. For example the standard of the facilities for visitors at one of these attractions would probably not be the same as in a theme park.
5 stars
Finally, do you have any other information about the attraction that may be of interest to future visitors?
