The Lakeland Wildlife Oasis is located in the Arnside and Silverdale areas of outstanding natural beauty. It is an area which offers splendid walking facilities as well as a wealth of native wildlife. Lakeland's Wildlife Discovery Centre is a unique and exciting blend of exotic wildlife and interactive 'hands-on' displays. These take you through 3,000 million years of evolution and they follow the development of life on Earth, right from magic molecules to mischievous monkeys. Exhibits at the centre range from Chameleons to computers and from fossils to fossas, they include some of the worlds most threatened species which are kept at Lakeland wildlife oasis as part of international breeding programmes. Visitors can enjoy getting really close to nature at Lakeland's Wildlife Oasis. Butterflies, birds and even bats fly free among the exotic vegetation of the tropical halls. Lizards can also be found lounging in their open-plan enclosure.
